Do you remember many adverts for NZ companies with foreign big name celebs in them? From any time period.
I remember a long running series of ads for Group Rentals TVs with Ronnie Corbett
Also Pink Batts with Windsor Davies as his Sgt Major chracter from It Ain't Half Hot Mum
And the classic David Jason adverts for Cobb and Co where he plays a clumsy waiter
Plus Jimmy Nail for Sizzlers - "You fly half way round the world to make an ad for sausages, and what happens?" as he sits in pouring rain.
Any others?

Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker (about 15 - 20 years apart).
Both for Telecom (I think) and both playing their respective Dr Who characters.
I seem to recall hearing somewhere that the Jon Pertwee series of adverts were filmed but never shown on TV...

I don't recall either Doctors on Telecom adverts.
There were ads with the Good Life characters too. They may have been made in Aussie or the UK but I'm not sure, possibly NZ. Jerry And Margo advertised Huntley and Palmers biscuits while Tom and Barbara advertised the opposition, Arnotts. It was a series of ads from both from memory, which referenced each other - like Margo saying the neighbours bought cheap biscuits etc. Can't recall exactly now.

"Huntley & Palmer's - not like those Australian crackers they get next door..." - Penny Keith as Margo...

I don't recall either Doctors on Telecom adverts. Tom Baker filmed a short series of adverts here in 1997. These were broadcast for a few months before disappearing from our screens. I met him at the time - mad, mad individual (but in the nicest possible way...) Jon Pertwee filmed a series of adverts here in the early eighties but the product he was advertising was superceded (I think) before the adverts were due to be aired. Consequently they were never screened.

Alexei Sayle appeared in a advert for Morrison Cycles in either the late eighties or early nineties. Hard to be certain - those days were a blur to me!
