Here's one - do you remember the 1970's favourite from Kentucky Fired Chicken? I assume this was NZ made? Maybe not, but certainly popular when i was a kid. Lyrics from here: www.boingboing.net/2001/12/12/barbecue_bananas_are.htmlThe cows and the sheep and the birds and the horses, Are mooing and baaing and whistling and neighing. Having lunch in the sun. But Hugo and I are having none. In the back seat, we sat, getting thinner. A rumbling cry. "Give us Kentucky Fried." Time for dinner. So Dad stopped the car, And Hugo said "You go", but I said "No, you go" And soon he was back with a pack. And Dad hit the track. And we ate in the back feeling better inside A drive isn't funny with an empty tummy. Thanks goodness for Kentucky Fried.

Christopher Columbus: "I found it, I found it!"
Queen Isabella: "Where? In the pacific?
Christopher Columbus: "No. In the yellow pages..."
circa 1974-75 or so...
Aparently I used to drive my Mum nuts quoting that one. ;D ;D ;D
