Which in your opinion were the five best Kiwi comedy films... so far?
Among my favourites are:
- Goodbye Pork Pie - Came A Hot Friday - Carry Me Back - Scarfies - Stickmen
Which ones can you add or disagree with?

I've only seen the first two and they were great!

"Carry Me Back" is one I have a bit of a soft spot for. Mainly because it depicts the New Zealand I grew up in.
That "backwater" flavour of our country has long since gone...

You're very right there. It's a great comedy with real Kiwi charm. I'll bet most non-Kiwis would get it. I love the scene on the ferry where they're all ill and hung over!
That NZ we used to know has gone forever thanks to globalisation and diversification...

"Carry Me Back" was shown on BBC when I used to live in the UK during nineties. Many of the people I worked with (especially the older age groups) told me they had seen it and thought it was one of the funniest films they had seen for a long time.

This might seem like a silly question, but I'm trying to locate a film I watched many years ago in which the film is tacking place but it keeps cutting back to a boy outside a VD clinic, all film he is trying to pick up courage to go in, in the end he does and all he has is achne. I thought it was in good bye pork pie but i have this on DVD and its not, unless it was cut at some time. Please help if you can. Cheers Sid
